So, the GTX 1070 Ti is based on the same 16 nm Fabrication Process Technology that the GTX 1070 & even the GTX 1080 uses. But, it houses several improvements over the Regular GTX 1070. The main improvement is in the CUDA core section. The GTX 1070 Ti houses 2432 CUDA cores compared to the 1920 CUDA cores on the regular GTX 1070.

Also the TDP is 180 Watts that’s exactly the same as on the GTX 1080 & higher than the 150 Watts TDP on the regular GTX 1070. So, with the improved capabilities comes improved Floating Point Performance right ? The GTX 1070 Ti houses 8.17 Teraflops of power that’s a significant improvement over the 6.45 Teraflops  on the regular GTX 1070.

The amount of VRAM is still same though. There is 8 Gigs of GDDR5X RAM on board inside the GTX 1070 Ti.

The prices are also expected to drop fot the GTX 1070. Currently the Founders Edition GTX 1070 retails for 399 US Dollars & the GTX 1070 Ti may come at the exact same pricing (399 USD) slashing the prices of the regular GTX 1070 to 379 USD. So, do you need a GTX 1070 Ti in your life or you’re good with a regular GTX 1070.
