Honor India today announced their first smartphone which is targeted towards the smartphone gamers at a very compelling price point. The Honor Play packs the same flagship hardware that can be found on the Honor 10 or even the Huawei P20 Pro but, at a way cheaper price point & at the same time it is optimized for better gaming with a technology guide called GPU Turbo.
GPU Turbo is the technology that the company has introduced to max out the performance of the Mali-G72 MP12 while keeping the thermals in control & minimize the battery usage.
The SOC is the flagship Kirin 970 from Huawei which comes in an Octacore big-little architecture with four high performance cores clocked at 2.36 GHz & four power efficiency cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. Though, the CPU & the GPU are basically an year old but, they should hold fine for most of the popular games & specially with the GPU Turbo technology, the 3750 mAh Battery should last comparatively longer which can be helpful for longer gaming sessions.
